With the exception of special events, CPMU typically runs tours on weekends between the hours of 9:00 AM and 7:00 PM. If your application is accepted and you choose to volunteer with us, you will be required to commit to at least two tours per month.
In order to assist you with your questions regarding New York State's EMS law and reciprocity, we have listed below three different links to the New York State Department of Health website.
In order to be considered as a volunteer with CPMU, you must first complete our application (below) and submit it to us. Once your application has been approved, you will receive an email from the Membership Coordinator detailing your next steps, which will include submission of the following application materials:
- a signed CPMU Medical Statement (provided by CPMU)
- an Emergency Contact Information Form (provided by CPMU)
- a copy of your most recent Tuberculosis Test (PPD) from your health care provider performed within the last 6 months
- a copy of your Driver's License/permit or government issued ID
- a copy of your New York State EMT certification card
- a copy of your CPR card.
Application turn-around time is typically thirty (30) days. However, if you have not heard from the Membership Coordinator within thirty (30) days of submitting your application, please email the coordinator at: cpmu.membership.coord@gmail.com.
Please download a copy of our application by clicking on the link below. Once you have completed the application, please email it--along with your resume--to our Membership Coordinator at:cpmu.membership.coord@gmail.com.
Thank you for your interest in volunteering to serve Central Park and the many people that require our services.
